I am interested in developing probes for a tier one series of elementary, social skills instructional (classroom) interventions. Has anyone ever done this? Am I a little crazy? Ideas also welcome. Ron
Are you trying to develop a set of tier 1 social skills lessons for use in the classroom? I've seen a lot of schools that do simple and brief talks with the class about various tier 1 issues. Almost like a word of the day thing but with Tier 1 topics, like respect, friendship, etc. Each classroom takes that word of the day and discusses how and where it fits into the tier 1 matrix. That is, how one would show, for example, respect in the halls, bathroom, classroom, during instruction, at lunch, etc. There was never an actual curriculum or written out plan with this word of the day thing, just each class and teacher taking it and running with it.
